Happy | 24" x 18" | Acrylic on cradled wood panel | 2023

My neighbor was a WWII veteran. He had great stories and jokes and was always happy to see you. After he died there was an estate sale and I picked this vise from his many tools. That was 25 years ago, but I recently “found” this vise again and have used it in a series of paintings. This is the third painting featuring this vise.
