Artist shaped by decades of visual storytelling

Art has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I grew up in an art studio—playing, exploring, and eventually working there—learning early that creativity is not just about making images, but about observing, thinking, and responding to the world around you. Along the way, I’ve had the opportunity to work with influential creatives whose guidance shaped both my perspective and my approach to visual storytelling.

For nearly 40 years, I have worked full-time as a graphic designer and product photographer (click here), creating brand and advertising imagery for clients across a wide range of industries. That experience sharpened my eye for composition, detail, and authenticity. I’m drawn to what makes people and ideas original—the quiet distinctions that give work its emotional weight.

In 2020, during the pandemic shutdown, painting emerged as a deeper personal focus. What began as a creative outlet quickly evolved into a new direction. Today, my fine art practice centers on Contemporary Realism. My paintings are built around familiar, relatable scenes—inviting viewers to bring their own memories, interpretations, and emotional connections into the work.
